It was a long day but a successful one to the start of the XC season at Caithness with some great individual and team performances, the U11s got the day started with Melissa Mack finishing in 2nd place with great support from Kirsty Arnaud(4th)Lauren Macdonald(7th) to help take 2nd team place and it was the same for the U11 boys with 2nd team place but a great win for Eric Robinson with Finlay Raynor(8th) and Craig Watts(14th).The U13s girls and boys had team and individual success with Megan Keith and Daniel Johnston winning their respective races to lead home both winning teams.
The U15 Boys took first team place by a point from a strong East Sutherland team with individual success or Joe Arnaud(1st)supported by Alex Geddes(3rd) and Mackenzie Brown(7th).James Geddes was the sole U17 runner in both age groups but got his own league campaign off to a good start with a solid 3rd place finish as did Arianne Ross winning the U20 Womens race.
The Seniors had mixed fortunes with the Men finishing in 3rd place with Paul Miller,Alec Keith,Grant Hassan and Jonny Macleod scoring the points but the Women had a great day finishing in 1st place, newcomer Helen Hertig placing 2nd with team mates Catriona Fraser(3rd)Caroline Marwick(4th)and Alison Wilson finishing 10th.  Big congratulations to Charlie Jarvie running on his 70th Birthday.  Well done Charlie
