Club Records

Club Logo - Black

The club records have been revisited and provided for male and female athletes across all Junior, Senior and Masters Age Groups. These have been compiled from using a list of club records dated 1991 and results obtained from Power of 10 website from 2005 to present. As such there may be performances between these periods which have been omitted. Further with the age group changes that that took place between 2010 and 2014, some of the records included are for those age groups but only where the performance bettered that within the current age group structure. The club records shall be updated once a notified performance has been ratified by the committee.

Criteria for Club Records (from 01/01/2018)

Eligibility and status

The athlete must be a member of the club on the day of the competition and their subscription must be current. SAL/UKA registration is not a requirement. First, second and higher claim status members are all eligible, as are Honorary and Life Members.

Competition rules
Performances shall only be considered where the competition complies with the permit conditions and relevant Rules, as set out by an approved governing body, or equivalent.

(a) The following sample list of approved governing bodies is supplied for guidance: SAL, UKA, IAAF, IOC, IPC, SSAA, NIAA, AAA or CSSA.

(b) The following sample list of ineligible events is provided as guidance: SHGA, local school events, cross country and multi terrain races, road races other than those measured and permitted by an approved governing body.

Events not specifically included in sections (a) and (b) above shall be considered on a case-by-case basis. Additions or amendments to these lists may be made by the committee.

For track and field events – the track should have been assessed and a valid current certificate (for the specific event being considered), which has been issued by the appropriate governing body.

Additional criteria
There will be a 2 year time limit, beyond which performances may no longer be considered for record purposes. This reduces arguments over which rules and conditions applied on the day and the potential for erroneous results being included.

Handicapped events or scratch performances in handicap events will not be included.
