Open Graded Meeting – Queens Park -

The club were host to the first open graded meeting of the season and Results from Saturdays first Open Graded Meeting of the year which had a tremendous turnout of 255 declared athletes out of 269 entries.  It was a very cold and windy day but this didn’t stop the athletes producing over 150 PBs.

Stand out throws came from Rachel MacLennan throwing a massive PB in the hammer with a 39.20 which sees her climb to 5th in the UK U15 rankings. Also up to 5th in the UK rankings is Paddy Dunne who threw a massive PB of 54.21 in the u17 Javelin.

Thanks to all who took part and to all the officials and volunteers who helped produce a very well run event.

Livingston Throws and Jumps Grand Prix

IHAAC athletes enjoyed several PBs on Sunday at the season opening T&Js Grand Prix. The good throwing conditions allowed for some big PBs with Matt MacFarlane in the u15 boys launching a massive 44 metre throw in the Hammer which extended his PB by 7 metres. This should see him break into the UK top 5 for this age group.  Finbar Dunne had another exceptional performance and looks to have done the double – topping the UK rankings for u15 in both the Shot and Discus. Finbars Discus throw of 37.46 was a massive improvement on his previous best. Despite a 5am start, Sean Golding managed to produce PBs in the Shot, Javelin and Hammer to make the 17 hour round trip worth the effort.  Well done to all those who competed.

Glenlivet 10k
