THROWERS ENJOY SUCCESSFUL DAY AT GRANGEMOUTH

12 of the Harriers throws group had an early start on Sunday to competeĀ in the Scottish Athletics Throws Fest at Grangemouth where no fewer than 12 PBs were achieved in conditions not ideal to throwing,with this being the first competition of the year Head Throws Coach Duncan Flockhart was delighted with the performances of all the athletes and shows great promise for the season ahead and what the throwers are capable of doing once the better weather starts.
Performance of the day came from Mary Flockhart in the javelin with a massive PB putting 6mtrs on to her previous best.
Many Thanks to Karen Smith and Mary Payne for making the long journey south to help with the officiating at the event.
