A number of club athletes took a trip out with an IV postcode to compete this weekend. The Scottish Masters Cross Country championship was held at Kilmarnock and men’s 65 + champion for 2015 was club regular Alex Sutherland. Well done Alex. At the National Senior Championships at Emirates Arena in Glasgow Anna Nelson had a PB run of 60.15 in the 400 to win Bronze. Well done Anna. Paul Davidson also broke his PB in the 400. Spurred on by a gift from Jamie Bowie, Pauls yellow arm warmers pushed him twice round the Emirates track in a pb of 52.60.

Also competing at the Emirates were Ian Johnstone, Pat Goddard and Dean Kane who were competeing in the Scottish Masters Track and Field Championships.

Ian won the over 60s 1500 title  in a tremendous time of 5.18.83. Pat had a solid performance to finish 4th in the Ladies Over 50 1500s and Dean, making his debut in the Masters, recorded a 4th in the 800m (2.15.40) and a 5th in the 1500m (4.29.72) Well done to all.
