Scottish Masters Championships

Congratulatiobs to Ali Beaton who won gold in the 100m and silver in the 200m at his debut in the Scottish Masters Championships.

Also well done to Alex Sutherland who won the 65-69 Gold in the 5000m In a time of 19.35.

News from Grangemouth From Grant Nairn.

Mhairi Nairn and Eilidh MacInnes made the trip down the A9 to take part in their first Combined Events championships today. Both performed admirably in the U13 Girls pentathalon, and while the final positions and scores were never going to see them top the table, that was not the aim. This trip was for experience and on that score they gained lots. There were also lots of new pb’s with Eilidh gaining three (long jump, shot putt and 800m) and Mhairi getting four (70m hurdles, long jump, shot putt and 800m). Both girls had a great time and have said they want to do more combined events.

Many thanks to Eilidh’s dad, Alex, for driving and the company. After today I’ve a feeling we may have to do it again some time

Scottish Decathlon Championships

Congratulations to Andrew Macfarlane who posted 9 PBs and Daniel McFarlane who posted 6 pbs at the Scottish decathlon championships. Highlight for Andrew was a javelin best of 54.26m which saw Andrew finish 3rd overall whilst brother Daniel finished in 2nd.
