MESSAGE FROM KEITH GEDDES – PETROFAC FINAL

It’s the petrofac final this Sunday in Aberdeen and all 10 age groups have qualified for the final could all athletes competing let me know if you need a seat on the bus it will be leaving Matallan car park at 8am and costs £10 each so could all athletes and officials be there for 7.45am sharp.

CLUB CHAMPS AND TRAINING UPDATE

There are still some events to run for Club Champs which we didn’t manage to complete on Tuesday night such as the U15/U17 Shot, U17/Senior Triple Jump. We hope to run these on Thursday with the U15 Shot starting at 6.40pm – athletes should arrive in time to warm up first. Again, help will be needed from both officials and parents in order to run these events so if anyone has time on Thursday, please come along.

If any U13 athlete is competing at the weekend then they can come down to do some final preparations, but if they are not competing then they can take tomorrow night off. Training will resume as normal next Tuesday 8th September.

UNDER 11s GROUP-

U11 Wednesday Group will be back to the normal time of 7pm to 8pm from next Wednesday 9th Sept. Well done to all the U11 so far who have competed in the past few weeks in their first club champs. For many this was even their first competitive races. Roll on the winter and XC.

MEN’S LEAGUE
Unfortunately relegation from League 1 was confirmed at the weekend. However, a massive effort from the guys was great to see, and the officials were, as ever, absolute heroes. Congratulations to Aberdeen on their victory and IHAAC will be back strong FOR next year.
Many thanks as always to Karin Smith, Mary Payne and Alister Cameron. The team, and the club, owe you a hell of a lot. Huge credit goes to Sam Freck and Eoghan MacNamara for their organisational effort throughout the season.
