Saturday 12th March saw the club hold another successful indoor shot putt competition under the watchful eye of Brian Ross and his excellent team of officials and helpers.

The event enjoyed a bigger turn out than last month possibly due to the previous clash with the North District Cross Country.

The event yet again yielded several PBs and early season promise with fantastic performances across the age groups.  The athletes certainly seem to be benefiting from the opportunity to train and compete indoors and this will hopefully be reflected in outdoor performances in the coming season.

Performances of note went to Sinclair Patience whose 15.52 shot in the Senior Men pushed him to top of the Scottish ranking and 8th in the UK.

Sean Golden had a great PB as the 9 year old threw over 5 metres for the first time.

In the under 11 girls Zoe Sharpe lead with a 5.24 closely followed by Stroma Fraser who recovered from 2 no throws to post a 5.17m and finish 2nd.

Well done to all the athletes, coaches, officials and helpers who helped make the event such as success.
