A massive well done to all the club athletes and our friends from the other North clubs who competed in the Inter District XC at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on Saturday. The standard of the field was exceptionally high and our club athletes gained some fantastic experience racing against the best club runners in Scotland.

There were no individual medals however the Club athletes all performed well.

Under 13 girls finishers were Connie Campbell, Megan Keith, Josie Steele, Beth MacIver, Charlotte Hill and Emily Andrew .  Under 13 boys finishers were Daniel Johnson, Craig Wilson, Conor Romaine and Finlay Saunders.  Under 15 girls finishers were Racheal Keith and Catherine McInnes and the Under 15 boys were James Geddes, Joe Arnaud, Alex Geddes and Jed Russell.  In the Senior Ladies Jodie Lynch was the sole Club finisher and in the Senior men Dean Cunningham, Craig Campbell, Andrew Macrae and Finlay Maclennan all negotiated the course in times that would have easily seen them past the finish line before any chance of being lapped by the International runners would have occurred.

Finally in the under 17 ladies, Heather Campbell had a strong run to finish 10th in the district race.

A cracking day out was had by all.  Well done to the athletes, coaches, parents and helpers for making sure Inverness AAC was well represented.
