The clubs Indoor shot putt competition was a great success and thanks goes to all the officials, helpers and Julie Mollison of Scottish Athletics for their contribution.

30 athletes from across the age groups competed with the largest contingent coming from Grant Nairn’s u11s and u13s.
A lot of early season PBs were produced and signs look promising for the upcoming outdoor season. Performance of the day came from Sinclair Patience with a senior throw of 14.62. Sinclair has a long pedigree in the throws and looks set to be pulling on the gold and maroon vest in the near future.  Other notable performances came from Katie Gray winning the u15 category with a PB of 7.79 adding almost a metre onto her previous best. A throw of 11.58 saw Daniel Wilby take the u17 event and although he never threw a PB is throws were consistent throughout. Katy Stark was winner of the u17 girls with a throw of 10.67 which was very close to a PB. There were many other notable performances with Zoe Sharpe, Isla Marwick, Maisie Maclennan, Lauren MacDonald and Ruth Wilson performing well and providing entertainment throughout.
