HARRIERS TRIO TAKE TOP HONOURS AT AWARDS NIGHT

Three of Inverness Harriers brightest stars walked away with the top honours at the Inverness Sports Council Awards at the Town House last night,Rachael Mackenzie won the Senior Womens award with her unbeaten record in north athletics for the last 10 years in high jump and also set the 2nd highest jump in the clubs history with 1.80 mtrs which only puts her 4cm away from Commonwealth Games qualification,next up was Jamie Bowie who finished of a fantastic year with his first senior British cap with his 4 x 400 mtr relay performance at the World Championships in Moscow where he ran the fastest leg of all the relay runners to help team GB reach the final where they finished 4th.
The 3rd award of the night went Jason Maclean who received his award through the Highland Disability Sport Awards who has burst onto the athletics scene over the last 12 months with his tremendous performances in the T37 category of the 100mtrs where he has already twice achieved the qualifying standard for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year,all three athletes were worthy winners who we will hopefully see competing at Glasgow next year along with a 4th Harrier Kirsy Law who has to achieve the discus standard once more.
