Harriers Men Battle for Points

Emirates

Well done to the Inverness men’s team on Sunday who finished 5th in match 2 of the 2014 Scottish Men’s League Division 1 in Aberdeen, just 2 points ahead of 6th. This places the team 6th overall after 2 matches on 7 league points with Falkirk placed 5th also on 7 points (ahead by overall match points only). Lasswade and Arbroath currently sit in the dreaded relegation spots on 4 and 3 league points respectively. This was a fine team performance by the guys when you take into account the team had 10 event slots uncovered and made the challenge of finishing well very difficult. Well done to all athletes involved who competed in a very hard wind to earn the 5th place finish. Also a thank you to the officials who traveled over to Aberdeen to make the competition possible. The next match will take place in Grangemouth on Sunday 13th July and a strong team will be necessary to stamp our place in division 1 to ensure safety for another year.
