Club Athletes enjoy Weekend success

Donnie Macdonald continued his recovery from injury with a comfortable win in 34.13 at todays Golspie 10k.  Donnie has been struggling with a calf niggle recently but this hasn’t prevented the hirsute fire fighter from posting consistently respectable times. There should be a great race a week Sunday as Donnie and club 800m specialist Stephen Mackay go head to head at the Baxters 10k in Inverness. If both athletes can stay free of injury and illness a great battle is in prospect.  Also running Golspie were Alex Sutherland (43.49) and Ross MacDonald (49.45).  Well done guys.

Also enjoying 10k success this weekend was Sarah Liebnitz who won the Brora 10k and £120 in the process!!. Results to follow.

Some Harriers flew further afield for their 10k fix with Charlie Jarvie travelling 120 miles North to compete in the inaugeral Turbine 10k at Shebster.

Travelling the same distance south was Jenny Bannerman who finished 9th in the Scottish 10k Championship in Stirling.  Jenny had a strong run in tough conditions to record a time of 37.19.

Well done everyone
