CROSS COUNTRY ENTRIES

This is just a preliminary notice that, as from the National championships in February, the club will be operating different procedures for cross country championship entries – district and national.
The committee feel that our current arrangements are too time consuming and not efficient enough at collecting fees.
Full details will follow but it will now be the athletes’ responsibility to indicate they want to compete and to pay their entry fees in advance to a designated person.
Notices will appear on Facebook and the club website and at the club indicating to whom fees need to be paid and by when. Thereafter junior athletes can expect a little more guidance than seniors, but even for them it will just be a simple case of giving name and money to a named person by a deadline probably about a week in advance of the championship closing date.
We need to do this because cross country entries have to be made through the club whereas individual athletes already do their own for track and field championships.
Information about National Championship entry will appear after New Year.

Please also note that a number of entrants at last Saturday’s North District championships still have to pay their entry fees. Names and money should be given to Donnie Fraser (club Treasurer), failing whom Charlie Forbes.
