The past week was a very busy one for the club and here is a quick round up of news.

In the Grantown 10k Donnie Macdonald was 3rd, Paul Miller 4th and Grant Hassan 5th.  Results have yet to be published

Hill running stalwarts Graeme Campbell and Stewart Wilson made the trek to the Trotternish ridge race and both enjoyed a few hours of torture in the beautiful hills of the Isle of Skye.

Track and Field action was provided at the Sundays Petrofac event at the Queens Park where club athletes provided some excellent performances in the sunshine before a monsoon brought the event to a premature end.

More track action success for Stephen Mackay in Manchester who won the 800m at the BMC meeting in 1.53.9. Huge PB for him so well done.

Wednesday night saw a good crowd of the club runners make the trip to Quarrelwood for the 3rd race in the woodland series.

Biggest news of the week of course is the news that Commonwealth Games Scotland have now confirmed that no fewer than four of Inverness Harriers’ top athletes will be in the Scottish team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Jamie Bowie (4 x 400m relay), Kirsty Law (discus), Rachael MacKenzie (high jump) and Jason MacLean (disability 100m) will all compete for Scotland at Hampden Park.  Fantastic reward for years of hard work.

Well done everybody – If you have any news or items you want included on the website please forward details to invernessharriersphotos@yahoo.co.uk
