Club Throwers enjoy PB success at Livingston Throws and Jumps Grand Prix

A delighted throws coach, Duncan Flockhart, has reported back from this weekends Livingston Throws and jumps Grand Prix where 20 club athletes are competing.  9 of the athletes competed today and produced a magnificent 10 PBs along the way.

Pick of the performances came from Paddy Dunn who despite throwing a heavier javelin following his move up to the u17s, produced a PB of 45.70, bettering his previous best by a massive 7 metres.
Ruaridh Gray, competing in the u17 Hammer, threw consistently over 40m and ended the day with a PB of 42.43.
Finbar Dunn had a double PB in the u15 boys section with 29.75 in the Javelin and 9.79 in the Shot Putt.

Great performances all round and a great confidence boost for all the athletes, most of whom are now travelling up the A9 to compete in tomorrows 1st Petrofac Meeting at Queens Park.
The action continues tomorrow with George Evans hoping to secure the 56m distance in the discus which will qualify him for the World Youth Games later in the year.
Adam Hobson and Paula Gass compete in the seniors and William Watts, Danial Wilby, Mary Flockhart and Katie Stark all compete in the u17s.
