Charlie Jarvie, who was awarded life membership of the club at the recent at the club AGM, was presented with an inscribed celebratory cake by the Joggers section of the club on Wednesday night.   Charlie has been a fixture at the club for decades and in the past posted some race times that far exceed those being achieved by todays crop of athletes.  As the years have passed Charlie has continued to compete and participate and has been a stalwart of the Wednesday night joggers section often recounting tales of the good old days to anyone willing to listen.  This presentation by the Joggers illustrates not only their warm affection and respect for Charlies contribution but also the camaraderie and friendship that is such a characteristic of this section of the Club.
