Several Harriers were on District duties this Saturday as they made the trip to the beautiful Holyrood Park beneath and iconic Aurthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.  The  Scottish athletics Inter-District XC Match brings an opportunity for the North Athletes to do battle with the best of the East, West and Scottish University’s Teams and also acts as a prelude to the International action of the Great Edinburgh Cross Country Run.

For most North Athletes this is an “experience” and can be a huge step up in competitive racing although some are quite at home going toe to toe with Scotland’s finest.

Huge congratulations to Sean Chalmers who was the winner in the Under-17 Boys race. The young Harrier proved  to be the best in the domestic section and finished 17th overall in a race which included U20 Junior Men from GB, Europe and the United States. Scottish Athletics report.

In the ladies U17/U20  race Heather Campbell put together a fantastic effort to finish 17th domestically & 34th overall  against her older peers with  Arianna Ross close behind finishing 24th.

Senior Men– Donnie Macdonald – 26th
