STING IN THE TAIL FROM BEE

Graham Bee of the Harriers ran a well judged race with a late surge to take the honours at Craig Dunain from earlier leader Robbie Paterson of Forres Harriers with David Wilby of the Hillrunners third. Our own Michael O’Donnell had been in the leading group but in the end finished fourth.
Kirstie Rogan of Forres won the women’s race from 2015 champion Caroline Marwick (IH) and Hilary Cameron was third.
Doreen Campbell (IH) won the veteran women’s prize and Alex Sutherland of the Hillrunners the veteran men’s.
The annual team contest between the Harriers and the Hillrunners, based on the average times of the two club group went for the first time to INVERNESS HARRIERS 47:37 to 49:02.
There were significant course changes this year bringing the race, which has 270m/900 feet of climb, up to a distance of 6 miles.
