It was Gold and Silver success for the Harriers at the Scottish age group Championships at the Emirattes Arena in Glasgow on the saturday Anna Nelson got the Club off to a good start with a slver medal in the U20 Womens high jump with a jump of 1.60mtrs and was narrowly beaten into 4th place in the 60m hurdles.On sunday Alex Geddes got the first medal of the day with a silver medal in the U14 shot putt but the best was yet to come in the U16 shot putt when George Evans threw 15.20m to take gold and then an hour later Alison Horne equalled the feet with gold a huge throw of 10.60m to take the second gold of the weekend for the Harriers,other good performances came from Daniel Wilby in the U16 shot putt with a new PB 10.92m to finish 5th,Katie Stark did well to finish 4th in the U16 girls shot putt with 9.49m,Maya Stewart-Rizza took 4th in the U16 triple jump and James Geddes set another PB of 4.41.11 secs in the U16 1500mtrs final to finish 5th,Gillian Gordon and Megan Munro both ran well but just failed to qualify in the 300mtrs U16 girls final and the same again for Megan in the 200mtrs it was another successful day for the Club proving once again that they can compete with the southern clubs.
