There was plenty of action this past weekend over Cross Country, Hill and Road.

National XC Relays – Cumbernauld

The clubs North District Relay Champions Donnie MacDonald, Andy MacRae, Craig Campbell and Stephen Mackay made the journey south to Cumbernauld to take on the best in the country in the National XC Relays.  It was the first time in many years that a Club senior team have competed and the team had a solid performance finishing 17th from a field of 76 teams.  Mhairi Maclennan running for Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds held off a sprint finish from HBTs Rosie Smith to secure a Bronze Medal.

Meall a’ Bhuachaille Hill Race

Club Hill regular Stewart Wilson battled the elements including 80 mph winds to complete the Meall a’ Bhuachaille on Saturday in 1.40.19.  Full report and results on HHRs website HERE

Culloden 17.46 and 10k Road Race

The wind also plagued the CHSS Culloden Races as the gusting wind made progress along the course very difficult for all runners.  There was a good club presence in both races particularly from the Joggers Section who had the indefatigable Charlie Forbes and Margaret Woodhouse as front runners.  Paul Miller was 2nd in the 10k behind Stan MacKenzie of Forres.
