Some great results filtering through about club athletes across the country and beyond.

At the Inter Counties at Birmingham today Mhairi MacLennan finished 18th in the Junior Womens race

At the Scottish Schools XC at Irvine, Heather Campbell picks up a bronze in the A Girls race, Lauren Fraser also pick up a bronze in the B Girls race (should get a Scotland call up) and Joe Arnaud finished 5th in his race. Scott Lisle was also 5th in the under 17s.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland clocked the third fastest qualifying time in the World indoor 4×400 with a 3:06.09 season’s best, to win the second heat.  Jamie Bowie was running 3rd leg and the team are looking real medal contenders.

Inverness Half tomorrow with a large number of club athletes participating.  Andrew Macrae will be hoping to retain his Graeme Moffat Memorial Quaich but Graham Bee will be a hard man to beat. Jodie Lynch and Sarah Liebnitz will be hoping to shake of their niggles and encourage each other round in what could be a great battle for first harriers lady. Both the men and ladies could be in with a shout for the team titles if they all run well, the lure of Run4it vouchers should make the athletes scoot round the 13.1 mile course.
