Updated Performances -Rhiannan Macintosh ran a great PB in the 60m with 8.40 then backed it up with a PB in the 200 with 27.17. Adam Blakie also had great performances with a 60m of 7.99 and a 200m of 26.32 .

Wednesday 5th February saw the first day of competition in the Scottish Schools Indoor Track and Field Championships at the emirates in Glasgow.  The events being contested were the Shot Put and Pole Vault.

Over 16 boys Shot Putt – George Evans won a Silver Medal with a throw of 14.25.  This is a great result for George who has 2 more years in this age category.

Under 16 Boys Shot Putt – Daniel Wilby had a throw of 11.43 which saw him finish 4th just 12cms behind the bronze medal position.

Under 16 Boys Pole Vault – Andrew Macfarlane won Silver Medal with a personnel best height of 3.20m whilst brother Danial won bronze with a personal best jump of 3.10m.

Girls Under 16 Shot Putt – Katie Stark  threw 10.25 which meant a 4th place finish.  Mary Flockhart also competed throwing a personnel best of 8.15m

THURSDAYS ACTION

U16 60m hurdles – Daniel Macfarlane went one better than his pole vault success by taking silver in the 60m hurdles.

Over 16 400metres – Andrew Smith took a bronze medal with a cracking PB of 52.10

U16 1500metres – James Geddes took a massive 11 seconds off his PB with a 4.39 in the 1500.

U16 boys 800metres – Alex Geddes had a big PB in the 800 m with a 2.28 for the 4 lap race.
