There was plenty of 10k action this weekend with several club members racing in Forres and at the North District Championship at Castle of Mey.

On Saturday the Benromach 10k saw 10 Harriers competing. The race was the 3rd in the 3 race Northern Scot 10k Series and the club were well represented on the podium.  Jenny Bannerman won the Female title with Roma Shepherd in 3rd. Tim Cooke was 3rd over all and Ross Nixon was 3rd in the V40 category.  There were great runs by Alison Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Paul Miller, Tom McWilliam and Johnny Macleod who recorded a PB in 37.11. Sunday saw club athletes make the long trek north to the Castle Mey 10k which this year doubled as the North District 10k championship.  6 hardy Harriers made the trip including Paul Miller who had finished 5th in the Benromach 10k the previous day.  Paul finished 4th in 36.40 with Grant Hassan continuing his good recent form finishing 7th in 38.52.  The next Harrier was Catriona Fraser in 43.57 with the evergreen Alex Sutherland coming in in 48.30.  Liz Gray finished in 51.13 and Liz Forbes in 53.16.  Well done to everyone for making the long trip and representing the club.
