Runners were all very fortunate on Saturday as weather conditions were just about perfect for the 12th Cioch Mhor hill race, the river level was low and visibility good, apart from that chilly east wind. There was 62 entries in the senior race, including 4 runners from Sweden, who had come over especially to run in the Clachnaben race, which was cancelled due to snow conditions, and race numbers increased because of this. The underfoot conditions obviously suited Finlay Wild as he set a new course record of 1:05:12 , an improvement of over 3 minutes, he was followed by Gordon Lennox in 1:09:05, and Brian Marshall in 1:10:16.
